Netflix has launched new tools to allow parents to remove TV shows and movies that they don’t want their children to see. Removal occurs on individual profiles and is essentially used to monitor the activity of the children on the platform. This comes at an important time where millions of kids are closed at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the least parents can do to mitigate any emotional trauma caused by any movie or series is limit any unwanted visual stimuli that may be upsetting. Netflix’s new parental control tools work as follows: In options, you can search for series or movies that you want to remove to block them. You can now also filter content by age rating, which varies from country to country. If desired, add a pin to prevent anyone who does not know it from changing the settings. Finally, parents can better monitor what their children have seen on their profiles, in order to intervene more effectively.
