Square Enix’s Lineup for PAX West & Tokyo Game Show for 2019

Square Enix has released their lineup of games that we can expect to see for both PAX West and Tokyo Game Show coming up in the next few weeks.

We start with PAX West 2019, held at the Washington State Convention Center this weekend, from Friday on August 30 to Monday, September 2.

Here is the lineup as follows:

  • Trials of Mana (PS4, Switch and Steam)
  • Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (PS4, Xbox One, Steam and Switch)
  • Oninaki (PS4, Switch and Steam)
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4)
  • Final Fantasy XIV Online (PS4, Steam and PC)
  • Life is Strange 2 (Xbox One, PS4 and PC)
  • Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia (Android and iOS)
  • Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (Android and iOS)
  • Kingdom Hearts Union X (Android and iOS)

Not long after PAX West, we have the Tokyo Game Show 2019 starting on Thursday 12 September to Sunday 15 September. Square Enix – as you will see below – have a much bigger heavy-hitting lineup in store for us in Tokyo.

Here is the lineup to expect:

  • Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition (Switch)

  • Imperial Saga: Eclipse (PC Browser, Smartphone Browser)
  • Marvel’s Avengers (PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia)
  • Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent (iOS and Android
  • Romancing SaGa 3 (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, PC, iOS and Android)
  • Romancing SaGa Re: Universe (iOS and Android)
  • Star Ocean: First Departure R (PS4 and Switch)
  • Trials of Mana (PS4, Switch, and PC)
  • Tropico 6 (PS4)
  • War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave (iOS and Android)

Tokyo Game Show 2019

It’s obvious between both events, which one would be the one to look out for with more interest. However Final Fantasy fans can definitely expect a fair share of content coming their way in the next month.

The two games I am most notably looking at with interest would be Marvel’s Avengers &  more curiously, the new Star Ocean purely because of the nostalgia.
