Bang & Olufsen's New Smart, Portable Wi-Fi Speaker is Exquisite

Bang & Olufsen has announced its latest wireless speaker, the Beosound Level and it might be the most exquisite portable speaker in their lineup with a seamless blend of old school aesthetics with new-age tech.

Beosound Level has a modular design for easy maintenance and repair, allowing you to do things like replacing the battery as well replace the streaming module, which the company says will power all of its future home speakers. According to Bang & Olufsen, this module is capable of enough processing power and connectivity to receive updates for many years. However, if the streaming module breaks down or becomes obsolete, the module can be easily replaced which allows for a longer lifespan.

It's designed to work pretty much anywhere in your home, whether you have it standing upright, lying flat on a table, or hanging on a wall using the mounting bracket. Thanks to the built-in accelerometer the Beosound Level adjusts its tuning from 180 degrees to 360 degrees, filling the room with sound no matter its orientation. The Beosound Level has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating and support for Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi connectivity, so it can work outside too.

Beosound Level's charging also oozes luxury, with an aluminum magnetic plug that clicks into the back of the speaker. The internals are impressive, with 1 x four-inch woofers, 1 x two-inch full-range driver, and 2 x 0.8-inch tweeters to deliver "excellent clarity and dynamic bass". Support for Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and Chromecast means you have a few options when it comes to music streaming.
